Abbot SWT Download
This page provides the download for abbot.swt and abbot.swt.eclipse. These are required by
RCP Robot.

The download is made available under the Eclipse Public Licence 1.0. It includes contributions by IBM and the Abbot team (
http://abbot.sourceforge.net).
Version Numbers
The last released version of Abbot SWT is 1.0rc1, September 2005, as shown on the
sourceforge download page.
When we started using Abbot, we needed more up-to-date releases. We created snapshots for our own use and for use with our clients.
The version number reflects the SVN revision number when the snapshot was taken. E.g. 2522 is the revision of Abbot in summer 2007. In the past we created a snapshot every couple of months and we expect to do so in the future. If you feel you need a fresher snapshot, take a look at the current revision of Abbot SWT at sourceforge
here.
Differences
There are a few differences between the plug-ins provided here and a custom build from SVN.
- we removed all third-party libraries. The included source is based exclusively on the code provided by the Abbot team in the SVN repository at sourceforge.net.
- abbot.swt includes a pre-compiled jar file of the core Abbot code that is shared with the original Abbot for Swing.
Because of these changes you might experience problems that would not exist in the code obtainded from SVN at sourceforge. However, the
RCP Robot does not used any of the removed third-party libraries.

You don't need to compile Abbot SWT yourself and you have a version number!
